The Complete Elvis (Delilah/Putnam, 1982)

After his first book Torgoff was recognized as an Elvis “expert”, and he was asked to edit an anthology and reference work about Elvis’s life, music and movies. The book contained an exhaustive A-Z encyclopedia that he annotated, along with pieces by Lester Bangs, Stanley Booth, Glenn O'Brien, and Lenny Kaye, among others.  Having now read virtually everything ever written about Elvis, Torgoff’s contribution was the essay “After the Flood: Elvis and His Literary Legacy.”
