In 2009, Martin Torgoff formed Prodigious Media LLC with Richard Lowe.  Previously they had worked together very successfully on The Drug Years, Sex—The Revolution, and Lords of the Revolution. Both are producers and directors, and with Torgoff’s extensive background as a writer and Lowe’s as an accomplished editor, their blend of skill sets is a very good match, allowing them to bring their vision for projects to full creative fruition. Their first production as Prodigious Media was Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation, produced for VH1 and nominated for two Emmys in 2012: Outstanding Arts & Culture Programming, and Outstanding Achievement in a Craft: Writing. Presently Prodigious Media have numerous projects in development, for PBS and commercial television.
